In the Russell Library, Options Domestic & Sexual Violence Services has set up an art installation titled “What Were You Wearing?” to bring awareness about sexual assault. (The display is on the "adult" side of the library and will be up until May 10th.) This powerful art installation confronts the misconception that clothing choices influence consent. Have you ever been asked 'What Were YOU Wearing?' The installation sheds light on the experiences of sexual assault survivors through displays of clothing worn during their assaults.
This event contains sensitive and potentially triggering material. Sexual abuse, sexual violence, rape, and personal trauma are all mentioned in this exhibition. If you or someone you know needs help because of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, contact Options 24-hours a day, 7 days a week FREE.
